Before you read below please note that we are right now trying to save the night with another venue in Manchester, so hold tight!

We’ve been told that with immediate effect, all live rock shows at the Dolphin Club are suspended due to an internal legal issue at the Dolphin Club. We are advised that it is on course to be resolved shortly, but not in time for our proposed  gig on April 1st 2016.

So, finding ourselves unexpectedly one guitarist down with tour dates booked and being booked for April we posted online that we were regrettably going to have to replace another great guitarist, Tom and then Damo, It wasn’t 10 minutes before the emails started coming though from potentially new guitarists…… we met them all and then auditioned some, we got the man we need by far in JC, plays like a demon and a great guy, so perfect for us……. meet JC.

London-based rockers Slam Cartel have made it onto yet another playlist, this time for Hastings-based rock radio station 1066.  This due to a high demand for the band’s latest release, which can be hear on rotation via the radio stations website.

Slam Cartel started as an idea in Terence Warville’s mind. On a boat, in the sun, with nothing more than a guitar and a tape recorder the seeds were sown for the thirteen killer tracks on critically acclaimed debut album “Handful of Dreams”.

Guitarist Damo Fawsett joined Slam Cartel in 2014, and he came into a band that was becoming well established and had already built a significant fan base. The band is the brainchild of Terance Warville, and after several years he had decided to make some changes to the lineup, so he brought in Gary Moffat on lead vocals, who in turn recommended Fawsett for he lead guitar position.

This is a band that had been vaguely on my radar for some time, but a local gig just up the road for me in New Cross provides an easy opportunity to get better acquainted with the driving hard rock of Slam Cartel. And I’m pleased I did.
